Ernest Hemingway is an American novelist who won the Pulitzer Prize (1953) and the Nobel Prize in Literature (1954) for “The Old Man and the Sea” (1952).
He can be said to be a representative writer of the 20th century. In addition to “The Old Man and the Sea,” he also left famous books such as “A Farewell to Arms”(1929), a masterpiece of war literature, and his
full-length feature, “For Whom the Bell Tolls?”(1940). His representative work, “The Old Man and the Sea,”tells the story of an old fisherman struggling to catch a big fish.
He has a uniquely concise and direct style that conveys the fisherman’s firm will as if refined, and the realistic
and hardboiled description depicts a lively and dynamic urgent situation.

The typography describes violent waves and draws attention by placing writer Hemingway in front of it. The small ship and the bouncing
blue marlin give a sense of distance and dynamism to the monotonous composition and also serve as storytelling. The overall blue of the sea and the warm brown tones used in the old man’s ship and Hemingway contrast each other.
